Shade Structures for RV Resorts
ShadePro designs and installs permanent shade structures for RV resorts, campgrounds, and parks across Texas. Every structure is custom-sized for the site layout, engineered for Texas wind, and built to handle decades of use.
What RV Resort Shade Structures Do and How ShadePro Builds Them
An RV resort shade structure is a permanent canopy built over individual guest sites, common areas, or amenity zones like pools, playgrounds, and picnic areas. The goal is to drop temperatures under the structure by up to 20 degrees and block up to 95% of UV rays.
ShadePro uses Commercial95 fabric and premium powder-coated steel. The CDC recommends shade structures as a primary method of reducing UV exposure in outdoor environments. Our steel frames carry a 20-year warranty. The fabric carries a 10-year warranty.
We handle the full project: design, fabrication, HydroVac excavation, and installation. Every structure is engineered to meet or exceed building codes with a minimum 90 mph wind rating.
Shade Structures for Parks and Playgrounds
Many RV resorts include playground and park amenities that need separate shade coverage. Playground equipment in Texas reaches surface temperatures high enough to burn skin on contact during summer.
See our Shade Structures for Parks and Playgrounds page for playground-specific applications.
Shade Replacement
If your resort has existing shade structures with worn or faded fabric, replacement restores full UV protection without replacing the steel frame. ShadePro matches original specifications and installs the new fabric on your existing posts.
Visit our Shade Replacement page for details on the replacement process.
How ShadePro Installs Shade Structures at RV Resorts
Installing shade at an active RV resort requires planning around guest schedules, utility hookups, vehicle clearances, and existing site infrastructure. Our process is built to handle all of it without disrupting your operations.
Site Evaluation We visit your property to assess site dimensions, sun angles, utility line locations, drainage patterns, and traffic flow. Pull-through sites, back-in sites, and common areas all have different coverage requirements, and we document each zone before design begins.
Custom Design and 3D Modeling Every project is custom-designed. We build 3D renderings so you can see column placement, coverage footprint, and fabric color before fabrication starts. Clearances for large RVs, slideouts, and utility pedestals are resolved at this stage.
Permitting We pull all required permits and coordinate with local authorities. Permit requirements vary by municipality and project scope. We manage that process so your team does not have to.
Fabrication Steel components are fabricated to the engineered specifications from your site design. Commercial95 fabric panels are cut and finished to match. No prefabricated kits, no generic sizing.
Foundation and Installation Our crews use HydroVac excavation to set foundation footings. HydroVac uses pressurized water rather than mechanical digging, which protects underground utility hookups and irrigation lines common on resort properties. The same in-house team that handled fabrication handles installation.
Final Walkthrough A ShadePro project manager walks the completed installation with your team before closing out the project. Any punch-list items are resolved on-site.

When Your RV Resort Needs Shade Structures
- Guest sites are fully exposed to sun. Open sites without shade lose bookings to resorts that offer coverage, especially among families and pet owners.
- Common areas are too hot to use. Pools, playgrounds, picnic areas, and gathering spaces need shade to be usable during peak heat hours.
- You are expanding or adding new sites. Building shade into new construction is more efficient than retrofitting.
- Existing shade fabric is worn out. Fabric replacement on existing frames restores UV protection without replacing the entire structure.
Why Choose ShadePro for RV Resort Shade Structures
- Custom site coverage. We design around existing infrastructure, utility hookups, and traffic patterns.
- Full-service delivery. Design, fabrication, HydroVac, and installation handled by one team.
- Built for Texas conditions. 90 mph wind rating. UV-resistant fabric. Powder-coated steel.
- Low maintenance. Fabric cleans with mild soap and water. Steel needs periodic visual inspection only.
